Elevators , in Italy, number about 900,000. They make, on average more than 1 million daily trips. They therefore need periodic monitoring that is mandatory by law.
Mainly because of the recognized difficulty in performing a true visual inspection, the magneto-inductive methodology has for some time now also become part of regulatory recommendations. This is why AMC Instruments offers its devices to maintainers and administrators who want to align with the state of the art and ensure total safety for those who use the elevator.
AMC Instruments' devices allow multiple ropes to be inspected at the same time, allowing the maintainer to know exactly on which rope the defect is located and at what distance.
With this medono and with these tools it is also possible to compare facts at different times on the same rope.
It will also be possible to assess the evolution of the defect and how often the test should be repeated.
Wire Ropes
AMC Instruments' devices make it possible to inspect multiple ropes simultaneously providing a quick and objective result on their condition.
AMC instruments' technical team supports technicians daily in analyzing the results.
The Methodology is referred to by UNI/TS 11807 and more recently also by ISO 4344
Belts - Coated Ropes
These alternative suspension elements, can only be inspected by magneto-inductive inspection.
The rubber coating does not affect the inspection.
Depending on your needs, we can create a tailored solution.
How many ropes do you have to inspect at the same time? Is it a permanent or mobile installation? What diameters? What distance between axles?
